CAST GLASS |
The process of firing glass in a kiln transforms it into a textured panel that creates sculpted patterns, exhibits dimension, and refracts light. It is sophisticated and spectacular but is also very functional as architectural art for your home or office.

Our cast glass is produced by reusing float or tempered glass from previous projects. The glass is placed on a specially prepared dry plaster mold and is then fired in a kiln. Each mold is unique and used for only one firing so no two pieces are exactly alike. In addition, Classic Glass can cast glass up to 4' x 8'.

The cast glass can then be tempered, holes drilled for hinges/hardware or polished making it suitable for a multitude of interior or exterior applications. Cast glass has an organic textured surface and a translucent appearance.

It is possible to add color to cast glass with glass frits and translucent paints or by fusing pieces of dichroic glass to the surface. The plaster for the mold can then be reused.
