CARVED GLASS AND STONE |
| When deep cut lettering for signage or realistically sculpted flowers or figures are required, Classic Glass artisans use traditional stage carving techniques. Thick glass is covered with a rubber mask, then the design is transferred and cut by hand with an exacto knife. Each individual detail is picked out and carved one at a time to create a bas-relief effect. The carved areas can be in filled with paint or can be edge lit to create strikingly beautiful effects.The same techniques for carved glass are used for stone and wood. |
